A Motorbike in the Foyer?
Students entering the school reception will today have been met with a distinctly petroly smell. Standing in the corner, polished to within an inch of the metal work, was a 1973 Triumph Daytona T100R.
The bike belongs to Mr. McLennan (Physics). It is there as a symbol of Turner House’s 2016 charity week, the charity of choice being The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, an international charity event raising awareness and funds for the Movember Foundation’s men’s health programs. In particular, they raise money for prostate cancer and mental health.
On Sunday, 25th September, The Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride saw more than 50,000 riders in over 500 cities across 90 countries riding their classic motorbikes. Mr. McLennan was among those who took part in Bournemouth.
Turner House will raise money for the charity in the week commencing October 17th.
