Mysterious Letter: Solved
Last week, an odd letter was found in school. It passed through various hands and eventually came to the editors of The Bournemouthian.
It left a series of clues about the identity of the author.
Having read the article we posted about the encoded letter, Freddy Lacaze, an upper sixth student, got into contact with what he believed was the correct answer.
Freddy told us he recognised the last of the three clues, “Pickle”, to be evidence of Max Sheppard, as it corresponded to Max’s online gaming accounts.
Max commented on the original article to confirm he was indeed the culprit.
An extract of the letter read “Come and find me with this letter in hand and I will buy you ANYTHING from the school’s vending machine.”
Freddy followed the procedure, and duly received a packet of Maltesers from Max.
