Exploring Wales – 6th Form Scouts Roam Through Snowdonia
Upon finishing last term, three Year 12 students and members of the school scout group (Euan van Dam, James Ozanne and Jacob Bruchez) set about packing their bags for five days of adventure in Wales. They were pioneering a new camp in order that younger scouts may engage in a similar activity in years to come.
The camp included:
- The biggest zip line in Europe
- An ascent of Snowdon via the Rhyd Dhu path and descent via the Ranger’s path
- Mountain biking at Europe’s only purpose-built outdoor mountain bike-specific track centre
All those involved thoroughly enjoyed the trip and hopes are high for a repeat next year.
